Position Description:
The Department of Asian and Slavic Languages and Literatures in the Division of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of Iowa is searching for a Visiting Instructor in Japanese Language for the academic year 2023-2024. Responsibilities include teaching three language courses per semester (at least a minimum of 24 s.h. per year).

Education Requirement:
- Master’s degree or higher in Japanese Pedagogy, Japanese Linguistics, or a relevant field
Required Qualifications:
- Native or near-native fluency in English and Japanese
- Experience in teaching lower-level Japanese language courses at the college/university level in the U.S.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience of teaching upper-level language courses
- Ability to effectively collaborate with others in programmatic service.
