Hokkaido International Foundation Summer Intensive Japanese Language Program with a Homestay in Hakodate, Japan (Independent Organization Program)

The Hokkaido International Foundation offers an eight-week intensive Japanese language program combined with a homestay. In addition to the regular Japanese classes, students engage in Independent Study (IS) in order to enhance their Japanese proficiency by accomplishing their individual study objectives. Also, they have the opportunity to participate in Japanese culture classes as well as a variety of extracurricular activities where they get to know local people in Hakodate.

Applicants should have studied at least the first half of the elementary level of Japanese language at any appropriate institution. Since HIF is not an affiliated institution, participants are responsible for consulting their academic dean to find out if it is possible to transfer credits to their home institutions.
