2018 Year of the Dog Nengajo Contest

Dog KanjiThe AATJ Nengajo Contest is a nationwide contest for students in elementary school, middle school, high school, and university. All participants receive a certificate of participation. Winners at each level in each category also receive certificates and prizes from AATJ.

The Nengajo Contest is an excellent advocacy and teaching opportunity for your program. Many students love artistic pursuits, and this is their chance to shine in your class. It also represents an excellent chance to practice language and culture.

2018 is the Year of the Dog, and the Dog was the subject of AATJ’s 2017/2018 Nengajo Contest.

There were four categories for entries: Artistic, Comical, Original, and Computer Graphic. 873 cards were submitted by 130 teachers from around the U.S.

The winners in each category were awarded a certificate and an Amazon gift card. Their card images are displayed below. All participants received a certificate of participation.
