The Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures of High Point University (High Point, NC, in the Greensboro area) is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor of Japanese, beginning August 2017. A successful candidate should have native or near-native command of Japanese and English, strong commitment to research and teaching excellence, and interest in teaching a full range of courses in the curriculum (language, literature, and culture), participate in interdisciplinary programs (Global Studies/First Year Seminar/Study abroad) and serve as an advisor to undergraduate students. Teaching load is 3+3.

       - PhD in Japanese or related field is desired
