The Asian Studies Program at DePauw University invites applications for a part-time position at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor beginning August 2025. MA is required or Ph.D. is preferred in Japanese Language Pedagogy; applicants with an MA and or ABD will be appointed at the rank of Instructor; applicants with a Ph.D will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor. A commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal-arts setting and evidence of effective and inclusive teaching are essential. The department specifically seeks candidates to teach Japanese Language courses. Teaching assignment is four courses per year, and funding is available for professional development and research with undergraduate students.
