The Department of Russian and East Asian Languages and Cultures (REALC) at Emory University invites applications for a teaching position in Japanese language for the academic year 2025-26, with an anticipated start date in August 2025. Applicants should possess a minimum of an M.A. in Japanese linguistics, language pedagogy, second language acquisition, or a closely related area and be highly proficient in both Japanese and English. A record of successful teaching at the college level and familiarity with technology in teaching is required. Responsibilities include teaching five Japanese language courses at the 1st and 2nd year levels during the term of appointment. Also required is availability to teach between 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
