Full-time Lecturer in the Japanese Language Program
The Position: The Department of Foreign Languages at Indiana University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a full-time lecturer position in Japanese at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor for the academic year of 2013-2014.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess native or near-native proficiency in both Japanese and English and will hold a master’s degree or higher in Japanese, Foreign Language pedagogy, or a related field. Experience teaching Japanese at the college level preferred. Applicants must be work eligible.
Responsibilities: Teach two Japanese language classes and one content course each semester. In the fall, the content course will be “Anime” and in the spring it may cover a topic such as Japanese film, culture, literature, etc. The successful candidate will work with the Coordinator of the Japanese language program to develop that program.
