Ami Watanabe
I am currently looking for a Japanese teaching position in the Boston area. I would be happy to instruct any level or age from grade school to the university level. I am a native Japanese speaker with strong English skills and teaching experience. I graduated from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies with a BA in British and American Studies in 2008. During high school I spent a year in Alberta, Canada, as part of a student exchange program. For the last four years I've been a teacher and administrator at the EMI Itto School in Osaka, Japan. While there I taught Math, English, Japanese and Social Studies to an average of 15 students per class. The students ranged from elementary to middle and high school ages. I also managed the school's schedule, and financials. With 20 teachers working under me I was responsible for making sure the school ran smoothly everyday. With my language skills, classroom and administrative experience as well as a positive attitude, I believe I can fit into almost any educational environment. Ideally I am hoping for a full-time position which will sponsor a working visa so I can become a legal resident of the United States. You can contact me at:
