The American Association of Teachers of Japanese holds two conference annually focusing on Japanese language education.
AATJ ANNUAL SPRING CONFERENCE
Each spring, the AATJ Annual Conference is held over a full day in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the Association for Asian Studies (AAS), with more than 100 paper and panel presentations on literature, linguistics, SLA, and language pedagody.

FALL CONFERENCE AT ACTFL
In November, AATJ sponsors dozens of Japanese-focued presentations as part of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Annual Convention and World Languages EXPO.
