ICJLE 2024

August 1, 2024August 3, 2024

AATJ is co-hosting ICJLE (International Conference on Japanese Language Education – North America) August 1-3, 2024, where the conference theme will be “Exploring Issues of Diversity and Expertise in Japanese Language Education.” In all regions of the world, people are teaching and learning Japanese in all kinds of organizations and circumstances, aims, and approaches. Given the diversity of teaching and learning environments, what connects us as we engage in Japanese language education? What constitutes the core expertise of Japanese language education?

ANNUAL SPRING CONFERENCE

Each spring, the AATJ Annual Spring Conference is held over a full day in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the Association for Asian Studies (AAS), with more than 100 paper and panel presentations on literature, linguistics, SLA, and language pedagogy.

In 2024, the Spring Conference will not take place in March. In its place, AATJ will host the 13th International Conference on Japanese Language Education (ICJLE) on August 1-3, in Madison, WI.
