Book Reviews

The Journal does not accept unsolicited reviews of publications.

Sending Books for Review

Authors and publishers of books and other publications produced in one of JLL’s topic areas may send the books to the appropriate editor (see the list of editors) or to the Association for review in the journal:

Association of Teachers of Japanese
Campus Box 279 (ALC Department)
University of Colorado
Boulder, CO 80309

Not all publications may be reviewed due to space and other limitations. Reviews and review articles will be sent to the publisher when they are published.

If you have been asked to write a review of a book or other publication

The length of a review is usually between 1,500 to 2,500 words. Your editor will make the length and deadline clear to you when you have accepted the assignment to write a review. Here are the guidelines.
